Portas D'Alegrete
Regional Alentejano
Bag-in-Box White 5L 2015

Portas de Alegrete (doors of Alegrete) is one of the seven gates of Portalegre city walls where, on the XIII century existed a wine cellar donated by its owners (Pedro João Domingos and his wife Maria Domingues) on the 15th August 1274. The purpose of the donation was to maintain the Hospital in the S. Francisco Convent, as it is shown on the tombstone at the Municipal Museum. The Regional Alentejano white wines Portas de Alegrete is produced from a selection of traditional and typical local varieties of grapes that present a citric color, fruity fragrance, light and fresh. Its name intends to keep alive the memory of the donation and the secular tradition of the wine-growing.
